ConvertKit Setup Guide

Use timers in ConvertKit broadcasts and automated email sequences.

Overview

ConvertKit's email editor supports HTML mode, which lets you embed countdown timer code directly into your broadcasts and sequence emails.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Create your timer

Set up a countdown timer in Email Timers. For automated sequences, evergreen timers are ideal.

2

Copy the embed code

Copy the HTML embed code for your timer.

<img src="https://app.emailtimers.com/timer/YOUR_TIMER_ID.gif" alt="Countdown Timer" width="600" height="200" />
3

Open ConvertKit email editor

In ConvertKit, create a new broadcast or edit a sequence email.

4

Switch to HTML mode

In the email editor, click the HTML button (</>) to switch to raw HTML editing mode.

5

Paste and publish

Paste the embed code at the desired location in the HTML. Switch back to visual mode to confirm the timer appears, then send or schedule.

Tips for ConvertKit

  • ConvertKit emails are typically plain-text styled — the timer adds strong visual contrast
  • Evergreen timers pair perfectly with ConvertKit's automated sequences
  • Test your email using ConvertKit's preview feature before sending
